He was an Electrical Engineer between 1908 and 1952. Westinghouse Corp, West Coast Division. Started as a young engineer at the Pittsburgh, PA plant and was transferred to San Francisco, CA in 1910. He was sent to California to work as a project manager on the electric railroad that was being built to run between Palo Alto and Oakland, California.
