Popular Meadville Girl Becomes a Bride.
The pleasant home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sullivan, 710 Lord Street was the
scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday evening when their daughter, Miss Clara
Elizabeth Waelde, was united in marriage to Edgar Alfred Griffith, of Braddock,
Pa.
At 7 o'clock the wedding party entered the parlor, which had been prettily
decorated with yellow and white wedding bells, the colors being the bride's
sorority colors. The wedding march from "Lohengrin" was played by Miss Belle
Titus of Bradford. The bridesmaid was Miss Mayme Meckling, of Butler, Pa. and
the groom was attended by Frank Waelde, a brother of the bride. The words that
united the happy couple were spoken by Rev. Frank M. Sisley, pastor of the
First Presbyterian Church, the full ring service of that church being employed.
Following the ceremony, which was performed in the presence of the immediate
relatives only, a reception was held lasting from 8 to 10 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs.
Griffith received the congratulations of all with their best wishes for their
future welfare.
Many beautiful and valuable presents were received by the bride.
The bride is one of Meadville's popular young ladies, and the groom is also
well known here, having attended Allegheny College and being a member of the
Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He has a responsible position as civil engineer
with the firm of the Miller-Patterson Company of Pittsburgh. Both Mr. and Mrs.
Griffith are assured of the best wishes of many friends for all the happiness
possible in their future life.

their friends after December 1 at 1307 Walnut Street, Wilkinsburg.
